Hello I'm looking for advice as how to proceed. I got a judgement entered against a builder in March 2016 for £7000. I then made an application for an order for him to attend court for questioning. He didn't show and then finally did show at a second hearing in May 2017 where he agreed to pay me in 3 installments. He never paid me anything so I want to send bailiffs around. However when I go onto MCOL it still says 'a bar was put in place on 10/5/16'. How do I get this bar lifted? Does anyone know who I should contact to lift this bar? We are not waiting (as far as I am aware) for anything...I'd be grateful for any advice to move this process along!

Hi 309, Welcome to the forum. After the hearing did you receive the judgment order from the court ?
Usually MCOL stops working after a case is allocated from MCOL to a local court - a bar in place normally means an application has been made, or contact has been made to the court, so he may have applied to vary the judgment ( change the amount of installments) or which would put a bar in place to ensure you can't get a warrant of control/execution while that's dealt with.
Your best bet is to give the court a call on Monday and ask the question#staysafestayhome
