That is a very poorly constructed letter of type which Lowell Solicitors are becoming well known, it's rather small to read fully though.

I wonder if @Kati can enhance the document.

          Good morning Shelley,

It would in my opinion be wise to check with the court to be sure that the defence has been received.

You should receive a notice saying that the claim is now defended.

You need to check before 1600hrs today.

My guess is Lowell solicitors are in their usual state of disarray.

They have asked me to send it in by email which I have just done now and will go through today with the written response to pack and this will hold of the Lowell from putting a ccj against me.

I think it's just a case of waiting now Shelly85 ... you've put your defence in and they have received a copy. Have you received a Directions Questionnaire from the courts (for you to fill in and return)?

I've not been following your thread but I may be able to help explain the process. Once demystified you should begin to feel better

From what you say you filed your Defence. You know the court have accepted it (the document not the content) because they wrote to tell you that (your upload is undated).

They also explained that the Claimant was sent a copy of your Defence by the court and would have been given 28 days to think things through, try to settle, or inform the court that they intend to continue with the proceedings.

You've not mentioned any settlement offer from Lowells so it looks like they've gone with option 3 which is to fight on.

Solicitors can prepare their own Directions Questionnaires and send them to the court 'oven ready'. So that's what they seem to have done in this case. It's Lowells way (and most other solicitors) of informing the court that they intend to continue.

Lowells have also sent you a copy of their DQ as a matter of courtesy so you know what's going on. Some would say they've really done that to intimidate and panic you, which seems to have worked. Don't let it because the Beagles will hold your hand through the next phase

So call the court and tell them you've received a DQ direct from Lowells and ask them (the court) to clarify if they (the court) have sent one to you too. That way if the court admin have been slow to deal with their input at least you'll have made them aware.

When your DQ arrives post on the forum and someone will guide you how to complete it. You can see from Lowells DQ that they have ticked the box to agree to Mediation. That'll be explained to you when yours arrives.

You've referred to the court ignoring your letters, I presume you mean your Defence, or have you written to the court on another issue?

                                Di
