If it ain't broke why try to fix it.
Actually isn't it always good to have a plan B and more than one defence, now that is imagination

Great advice from everyone, but Nem...I would like your help with this please, it's much easier to deal with one person rather than different people overloading my head.

Yes whatever anyone says getting that acknowledgement in is the top priority
Next is CCA request and CPR requests-the reason being is that it does help to make sure that there are no nasty surprises in store.

By all means then write to the solicitors inviting them to withdraw the claim because it is SB , at least that way if they have any nasty surprises you will get to know them

All in all, with just a little effort you will have all the info that you need.

Ok, CCA request with a £1 postal order next, anyone got Lowells address for me please?

          - - - Updated - - -

Scrub that, it's on the claim form woke up too early!

Crossed or un crossed PO or doesn't it matter, payable to Lowell I presume or leave it blank?

No right or wrong answer as to crossed or blank. I would probably cross it but leave it blank.

Endorse PO " For Statutory Fee Only" don't use a PO Box No. in Lowell's address, Just Ellington House, 9 Savannah Way etc. PO Box addresses my not sign for items.

                  Re: Court claim received

Maybe because the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing or maybe because they fear they do not have a good claim and want to bully you into settle. If you want to stop them calling there is a letter you can send. Nothing heavy just

                  Dear Sir Ref xxxxxxx
Further to your recent telephone calls that I find personally harassing please take not that I will only communicate in writing via Royal Mail . I would remind you that not only is it my right to give reasonable requests as to methods of contact but also of the recent case Roberts v Bank of Scotland Plc (Rev 1) [2013] EWCA Civ 882 (11 June 2013)

                  Yours Faithfully

Glad to be of help. Depending on your circumstances they would probably rather get a lump sum than cribs and drabs through the court.
