  • Possible shoplifting

I took 2 items from a shop yesterday and the alarms went off. I was worried and guilty so I went back 1/2 hour later and paid for the items with tears rolling down my cheeks and a sincere apology. They said not to worry and that they would radio though to security that I had come back and paid.

I'm going through a sort of breakdown and acted out of character because I am a good person.

Do do you think they will still come after me and prosecute me?

Thank you for your reply. I was just worried that may be mean and come after me anyway even tho I paid. I will get help for my underlying issues.

No, they don't have my name or address and I paid in cash but they could prob get my details from my car if they looked at CCTV footage.

I would doubt very much that they would go to the trouble and expense of trying to track you down via your car - in any event, who is to say it was the Registered Keeper that was driving.

Forget it and move on, I would say.

                Good luck.

I have to agree with everyone else here ... they didn't take any details, you paid for the goods. You should try not to worry about any shoplifting charge - there's no chance (IMO) of them doing anything.

Try and see your GP about your health problems tho' ... you need help and support :_tighthug__by_darkm
