    I checked, they have already received my acknowledgement form. Its time to submit the defence.

      Good stuff. Glad you've sorted that out.

      Your defence is basically that you do not believe there is any debt owing to the original creditor.

      So you have 28 days from receiving the claim to submit a defence, which gives you time to work out some more information.

      It might be an idea if you can telephone the original creditor and see if they can tell you anything about the end status of your account and where the debt came from - or send you the final couple of statements so you can see if there was anything owing that you hadn't accounted for/forgotten.
