One final point before I submit tomorrow which relates to a point in post 1

They have stated my first name, surname and address correctly but my middle initial is incorrect on the claim form but this may just be a typing error. Do I mention this in my defence and make a play of it or just accept that it is a typing error as I don't want to appear unnecessarily vexatious in the eyes of the Court

I'd just accept it's a typo tbh - have you submitted this, just before I check through it (ie don't want to come up with amendments if it has already gone in)

Yes I took it by hand to my local court yesterday and telephone the Northampon court to advise them that a defence had been filed and would get to them in due course through the courts internal mail system.
