Thanks I will see it through on the basis that it is statute barred.

      Okey dokey good stuff

In that case yes politely tell BC where to go then, like the letter posted earlier.

        Re: What do I do?

I know you will probably frown but on the phone to BC now saying if they can prove it is not statute barred I will give them the £320 to settle. I'm hoping that will answer if it is SB or not but I suspect that it is.

They said they will obtain the default but not sure if they can before a hearing. I'd guess that is almost certainly saying it is SB and they know it.

Latest from Bryan Carter. Seems to be pretty meaningless

Yes quite pointless - file it with the rest .

It's been a month now and I haven't heard from Bryan Carter or the court. Does it usually take this long?

Once you submit your defence, the claimants have 28 days to respond saying whether they wish to continue with the claim, if they don't, the case will be stayed. Sounds like this could be the case here.

Have you tried ringing the court to see what the status is?

Is that a wise thing to do or should I let sleeping dogs lie?
