    Received a claim? Yes
    Issue Date: 22-8-2014
    Amount approx: 450
    Claimant: United Utilities Water PLC
    Solicitor:
Original Credit: United Utilities Water PLC

    Particulars of Claim:
I have received a letter from united utilities for a £450 water bill, i called them 6 times in a 2 year period after we first moved in asking them to set us up a bill!

after the 6th time of trying and been told someone would call me back, we gave up. 2 years down the line we have been hit with this!

I have a letter which is judgement for claimant, saying i have to pay, when i have looked on the forum it seems they have to send you a letter which allows you yo register the claim. I have not had such a thing!

Okay, it sounds like they have got a judgment in default so you didn't receive the court claim or anything. Would you be able to scan a copy of the letter you have received on or type out the main text of it.

If they have got a CCJ against you without your knowledge you should be able to apply to have the judgment set aside.

Do you think the original papers might have gone to your old address?

Okay, yes its a judgment in default so if you want to defend it you will to apply to set it aside. Do you know why you didn't get the original papers? Could they have gone to your old address?
