How many Liability Orders do you have? Have they just obtained the most recent one?

no, i now work for an umbrella company and i believe i may be classed as self employed, the council havent asked for my employers details, i received a letter fairly recently asking for wage slips so they could assess whether i still qualified for a rebate for this current years CT ( i know they only want to know employer details so they can get an A 0f E ), i have just been sent all wage slips from the co. and have sent them off, this weekend. To the council.

there were 3 liability orders ( long story ) when they got the charging order, and i was told by a district judge and the solicitor representing the council that i should accept the final CO as they would not be able to use further collection methods.

no the last LO ( 2 together ) were ' issued' in june 2013 , i have paid over £1000 since then , the council even lied to the court that i had not paid a penny. Filed a false statement into court, but got away with it as usual.

Re: council tax charging order would appreciate some help

            Hi anyone,

i really need to try and do something about this if i possibly can , although i am at a loss as to what i can realistically do.

i cant afford to pay the sums they are asking, they are fully aware of this too, they have succeeded in obtaining a charging order on my home.

both their own solicitor ( or representative on the day ) AND a district judge said to me that i should accept the charging order on my home if i did indeed have outstanding council tax ( which i do and have never said otherwise ) as then they would not be able to use further enforcement methods.

since then they have used an attachment of earnings, which i accepted without any argument, and now bailiffs just heaping more and more costs onto the debt.

my question is : Can they lawfully do this ?? a solicitor and DJ seemed to think not ? if they can then i am finished and may as well throw in the towel now and give the council everything that i have.

any and or all replies will be most welcome
