Just noted there are two para 11s, so you need to renumber from then onwards.
Errors like that are why you need to check carefully when using templates
I would change that sentence to "It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper of Vehicle xxxx , reg. no. 1234,13.until dd mm yy"
Up to you whether you send by post (with free certificate of posting from Post Office) or by attachment to email.
If using email enter claim number and "Smart Parking vs Ms More55 .. Defence" in subject line.
Don't forget you have to file in court and serve on Claimant's solicitor.

Are you sure it was opened by Smart Parking, and not by someone else?
Presumably this was the CPR31.14 letter ... did Royal Mail say why it was returned?
The problem with sending by recorded post is that the recipient does not have to accept it.
That is why,(if I remember) I advise sending with a certificate of posting from PO as the item is deemed delivered within two days unless the addressee can prove otherwiseLast edited by des8; 26th November 2025, 19:06:PM.

I will post my defence to the solicitor at DCBL and file online
It has 122 characters what do I summarise in this section?.. My mum has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness all this is overwhelming I've never had to deal with the court procedure before.

It is too large to file online.
You will need to file it with the court by attachment as a PDF to an email
In the email subject line put court claim number and Smart Parking vs More55 defence
Sorry to hear about your mother, and really appreciate your stressful situation
Will do all we can to help & support you

Do not enter anything in the defence box on MCOL
Send your defence to the court as a PDF or WORD document attached to an email.
In the email subject line enter " court claim number xxxxxxxx Smart Parking vs More55 defence"
Send a copy of the defence to Smart Parking's solicitor by post (first class with a free certificate of posting from the post office)

What else did they say in their letter?
Have they filed a response to your defence? (check on line with the MCOL file)
Have neither they nor Smart Parking sent any other replies to your earlier requests for information?
In any event I would be inclined to decline their kind offer of settling at £60
The address (South George Street) shown on the photos appears incorrect (following a search on Google Earth).
That sign is no use to them as it is subsequent to the alleged events.
