Hi I need to write a defence statement but don't really know where to start. I have defended all of the claim with overdales solicitors online and have sent a prove it letter to them but they have yet to reply. What can I write in the defence statement? How long do I have.

Start by writing down in bullet points the grounds on which you contest the claim.
Once you have organised your thoughts, you can write your defence. Hi many thanks for taking your time to respond its much appreciated. I have used the defence example and done what I think is correct. I have attached a copy if possible if you could have a quick glance over and advise where necessary it would be greatly appreciated

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service
Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)
If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
