  • Defence statement

Hi I need to write a defence statement but don't really know where to start. I have defended all of the claim with overdales solicitors online and have sent a prove it letter to them but they have yet to reply. What can I write in the defence statement? How long do I have.

Start by writing down in bullet points the grounds on which you contest the claim.

Once you have organised your thoughts, you can write your defence. There is an example in the shortcuts on this site, but you will need to write something that is appropriate to your case.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
