It's a difficult decision - the case is currently stayed and will remain so indefinitely until Lowell decide to proceed. A settlement plan would at least take the stress out of the situation and allow some control over the timescales. I have heard of situations where people have started payment plans but then been able to offer a reduced lump sum F&F settlement.

Yes, that is a good way of viewing the situation. They will have to apply to lift the stay and the Covid19 crisis is causing huge delays in the courts, so very little is going to happen quickly. Wow that's brilliant news, well done you for keeping on top of all the steps needed, in this case persisting with the default notice seems to have unsettled them. We had a case in court recently where lack of DN also resulted in a win for the defendant.
