  • Lantern claimform - old 118118 money

I am hoping someone may be able to help, I fear i have left things a little late in the day as my dfence is due in by Friday (31st).

Basically due to financial issues I took out a loan with 118118 money back in October 2017. They accepted me which was a bonus as my credit rating was poor but the interest rate was high.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I paid it for a few months but go to the point where I couldnt afford it, I was robbing Peter to pay Paul etc.

In March 2018 I sent a letter of complaint to 118 118 money regarding irresponsible lending but never received a reply from them.

I recently received a claim issued from Northampton and the claimant is a company called Lantern regarding this debt so I am assuming it must have been sold on.

I sent a CCA request to Lantern and a CPR request to their solicitors. Lantern have replied with copy of the agreement but as yet nothing back from the solicitors.

I have also sent an email to Lantern explaining that this loan was disputed as 118 118 never responded to the complaint letter I sent them last year about irresponsible lending, but that was only yesterday and as yet nothing back.

I need to file a defence by Friday afternoon and I am stumped really. I dont know whether the CCA is legit so I dont know whether that can form part of my defence.

I would really appreciate some help if anyone can. Any questions please fire away.

    Many thanks

Without seeing the credit agreement nobody can tell you whether the request has been completed. What did you request from the solicitors?

You need to file the Example Defence wiht parts relevant to you by 4pm tomorrow.
