  • Letter of claim

    Hi,
I am new to the site and would appreciate any advice.
I received a letter today regarding a parking fine, from BW solicitors. It is in relation to a fine from 2 years ago. I have not been sent any other details (photos etc) or evidence other than this latest threat. There have been previous letters which i have not acted upon as the notices were stuck to my windscreen at the time but i did not see any parking signs around (it was a pub car park) and it did not contain any kind of evidence and reading on MSE I didn't think it was legally enforcable.
can anyone advise on the next steps i should take?

Was the letter headed "Letter before claim"? Could you post up copy suitably sanitised so no identifying details show?

Don't suppose you kept original notices or other letters?

Edit your original post so the driver cannot be identified (change "i did not see" to "the driver did not see")

PS it is not a fine, just probably a charge for an alleged breach of some condition or other

SAR to the parking company requesting all documents, letter to Gladstones demanding all documents they intend to rely on in the claim. Certificate of posting from a post office.

And yes it is legally enforceable, has been for many years.

Post up any paperwork you have, especially the first letter. Suitably redacted.
