An individual is claiming against me, the hearing is in 2 weeks time. He has a witness statement, should I automatically receive a copy of this? As without it, I can't see how I can adequatey resopnd.

The Court directions order should have set a date for this, stipulating that each party should supply copies of their statements to the other.
If such an orderr has been made and not complied with, inform the court, and definitely say this at the start of the hearing.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Thank you. Its been classed as a preliminary hearing.
