  • Allay Claims PPI Fee

    Dear Legal Beagles,
I’d appreciate your guidance please if possible, I’m pushing back on paying a PPI fee invoice from Allay Claims for about £300 because I feel they haven’t warned the fee to be quite honest.

I went into this PPI reclaim quite naively a few months ago, I haven’t followed the story at all and wasn’t convinced I would have any PPI owing to me. They did a search and two came back from Lloyds, both of which I liaised directly with and spent time on the phone being interviewed, and corresponded with myself not through Allay. Then once the refund was credited directly to my account they sent me an invoice which honestly I’m reluctant to pay because I don’t feel they actually did anything except send an enquiry off. I did it all.

do I have to pay it?

    many thanks,

Did you actually sign up with Allay and send them a signed Letter of Authority for them to deal with Lloyds on your behalf ?
