  • CreditSolve Live. Legit or fake?

    Hi everyone

    Apologies if this isn't the correct place to post this. I wasn't sure where to post it...

    I have a debt which I think is statute barred. I've been sent a document which the company says proves the debt isn't statute barred. I'm not sure whether it's legit or a scam though. I did a quick search for Creditsolve and it was listed as dissolved. I've attached the document, which I've redacted. Creditsolve - live.pdf

    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Does their list tally with your bank statements ? ( ie did you make the £40 payment in June 2013 ? - any other payments after that ?)

    Was there a letter with the list - May give a better idea as to the company that's chasing you.

    was the original debt consumer credit ? ( loan?)

      Thank you very much for responding to my question.

      I've checked my bank statements, and yes a payment went out in June, but on the 4th, not the 11th. No further payments were made after that.

      The company is Intrum, and yes it was a loan (from Lloyds or Lloyds TSB, not sure what they were called back then)

      So it seems it's very close to being statute barred...

      Do I have any other course of action, or do I need to come to an agreement with them?

        Have you made a statutory request for a copy of the credit agreement? Under s77 Consumer Credit Act you can ask (in writing) with the fee of £1,00 and they have to send a copy of the agreement to you. It would be worth getting a copy if you dont have it just to be sure what we are dealing with and whether there are any issues etc

                Hi again

                I received the letter attached from Intrum today. It's tone is rather more conciliatory than previous correspondence I've received from them. It sounds like it will take them some time to get the original credit agreement (if they can get it at all) So it seems the debt will be statute barred by the time they've got their act together. My understanding is that after 12 working days, if no agreement is received, it's unenforceable anyway?
