  • Mistake in Court Paperwork

I have just received letter informing me of a court hearing. I have filed on-line my defence form, but I have noticed that there is a mistake on the letter from the court, it has the date and time of the hearing but it has the name of one court to attend but the address of another court. What should I do please can anybody help?

Have you already filed your Directions Questionnaires following your filing of the defence?

Any applications been made in the case ?

Are the courts name close to one another ( there's a couple courts where they have building issues so the court is sitting in the nearby magistrates court )

or is the court sending the order the Northampton CCBC and the hearing at your local court ?

( might help actually if you say which courts or pop up a pic of the letter ( without your details or claim number showing ).)

I have cut and paste exactly as it is laid out on the letter below.

This claim will be heard on: Tuesday, 11 December 2018 at 11:30 AM
at the County Court at Norwich, Ipswich County Court, Hearing Centre, 8 Arcade Street, Ipswich, IP1 1EJ

I'd guess it is at Ipswich County Court and Family Hearing Centre 8 Arcade Street Ipswich IP1 1EJ and the Norwich is a typo, I can't see Norwich County Court sitting at Ipswich for any reason. Was it Ipswich that sent the order and would that make sense proximity wise to the parties ? I don't know the case but if it was an injunction or something it could have been filed at Norwich but heard at Ipswich... I think I'd give the court that issued the order a call in the morning to double check where you're meant to be on the 11th.
