After getting a ccj against me i have been paying a regular amount each month by direct debit,However i received a letter stating that if i payed a reduced amount i could settle the account.I did this and paid by debit card and thought that would be the end but it seems not.First, two weeks after i had a letter saying they made a mistake and i still owe the full dept then just today they sent another letter saying they will apply for a warrant of control and send round a bailiff to remove goods.Any advice please i will be really grateful.

Was the judgment for a monthly instalment payment or forthwith but you negotiated instalments directly with MC ?

As debthelppls says could you post a pic of the letter offering the settlement pls, also their later letter saying it was a mistake. Presumably you stopped making the monthly payments after you settled.

More immediately you can apply to have a warrant of execution set aside you'd potentially have argument of breach of contract offer and acceptance.

Did you get this sorted out Aaron ? ( sorry just came across your post - wondered when MC said it was an error did they say it should have been £414.47 or just no offer should have been sent ? )
