CCJ over 6 years old

Does anyone know how to find out, without ringing random debt collection companies, whether a CCJ was awarded against you more than 6 years ago. It will have been removed from the register and any judgment holder wishing to enforce would have to apply to the court to do so.

Is there any way to find out if a CCJ has been applied and removed from the register.

Can you get backdated Credit Reference Agency reports showing CCJ's historically maybe ?

I haven't seen anything, and it doesn't seem like anyone has any ideas beyond calling the court and seeing if there is anything on record against your old name and address. It will have fallen off the credit file and register, and if there was any default CCJ and no enforcement action was taken within 6 years they would have to apply to court to enforce now ( and show good reason - which could well be allowed being as you were overseas )
