Pretty much a standard response from Restons. Maybe if you hadn't specifically asked for the notice and Deed of assignment and only for 'the assignment' which they did mention they might not have been able to wriggle out
Without reading back through your whole thread I can't really say much but as Diana M has said, about UK are unlicensed - not sure just how much the claim is for which might dictate if it is viable to use a solicitor

Thanks for your reply Warwick65 .... But this is all sorted now. I have submitted my defence and am awaiting a response. Its an old post from when I first joined the forum and wasn't very sure how to use the site! I have a main thread going ... this was a new thread as I didn't get much response to start and thought I'd done it wrong so started another.
