I’ll be honest me arse kind of dropped out of this one they have seemed to provide the documents I’ve requested and I haven’t even wrote a witness statement, and am out of my depth I just think the judge will think this muppet hasn’t got a clue and I don’t want anymore money added on to the claim, just a Question.
when I pay the debt tomorrow will that be it all over and done with and No CCJ ?

I do get where you are coming from , I really do. I also get why you want to clear this,

How late are you for the witness statement?

Payment should clear everything , it just annoys me they are bullies.

Hopefully someone should be along who could say definitively if you need to pay the hearing fee. My thoughts are if you phoned up and paid the claim amount there is little they could do

I believe so as the offer to pay wasn't until after the hearing fee was paid and it isn't any longer refundable if the hearing doesn't happen due to settlement ( as it used to be) The date the fee was to be paid by is in the same letter as the date for exchange of witness statements so all parties are aware of it. That's not definitive though just my thoughts. I believe hearing fee is classed as a court fee for cpr 27 but it's been a fair while since I've seen a judgment against a debtor. Likely you're better asking Di or Paul when they're about, sorry xxx I'd certainly try negotiate it down for settling before the hearing though !

I agree with Warwick on this bit ->> Payment should clear everything , it just annoys me they are bullies.

I know the hearing would be next Thursday.

also my credit rating is on point it’s took 6 years to get to this point and I’ve got away with about £2500 that has gone stature barred.

you win some you lose some, and I would have lost the court case on not having a jar of glue about it, I think the judge would have thrown the book at me for being a clueless chancer
