Sending such a letter to RLP will only serve to encourage them to press harder and with increasingly dire threats if you do not pay up.

    Succinctly, RLP are bullies.

Do your parents believe that bullies should be allowed to win?
In short, Kane, if you think your mates' bullying is anything, it is nothing compared to that of RLP. Seriously.

Strongly agree with the comments above Kane. I can see why your parents feel how they do but they wouldn't wish to make the situation worse by contacting RLP. I'll be back in the office on Tuesday, if your parents wish to give me a call for a clear explanation of the situation.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Totally agree with you, Celestine. A chat with you as to what RLP are really like should put things into their true perspective and enable Kane's parents to pursue the right course of action.

Absolutely Celestine, Kane's parents need to know what the real truth is and how RLP may in fact themselves be quasi-criminal in their actions.

Just one more question. When the guard put you in the holding room, did they lock the door, refuse to let you leave the room (but remain on the premises under supervision), leave you unattended, deny you use of the toilet or deny you a drink of water etc? All important questions!
