Has everyone been in touch with Trading Standards, Action Fraud etc ? ( not that they are much help in the first instance but if they get enough complaints they might look at it) Also the police ( although they will probably say it is civil )

Also can you post the bank account details up please - have you all paid A Hunter ? ( A Hunter Metro Bank sort code 23-05-80 Account no 17691414 )

Ahh no VK paid a Halifax account... can you post those details pls.

I would like to say thank you so much for this forum, And im sorry for all the people who gave this lot money. We have been in correspondence with these guys to buy a replacement engine. Yesterday they sent a price through, and included was a brand new Fiat engine. And I quote. "The Brand New Engine is direct from FIAT i can confirm. The New Engine has all ancillaries which are brand new, the Reconditioned has Re manufactured Ancillaries." For the princely sum of £2.500 And we remembered the "If it looks to good to be true. It probably is" Where do you get a factory engine for that price Let alone including turbo ect. So trying to track down the address of the company and getting nowhere, We wanted to see this engine for ourselves, and collect. I googled the phone number. Jonathan King Tell DD: 02034440114 And brought up this forum. well done, you confirmed my thoughts. We are also in talks with another company. http://engineengineering. co.uk/start/ and spurred on by what we found here, did a bit more digging only to find that they are also under police investigations. So we have decided to go to an established company near where we live, keeping the work & money local, can make regular visits on progress, Plus if it goes wrong we know where to go.

What happens if you speak to Jonathan and say you want to collect/view the engine first ?

I reported it to the fraud squad yesterday! The phone numbers no longer work. I am glad they never got you cash.

Hi guys, has anyone got any further ahead with this, I was also scammed by uk engine supplies earlier this year, I paid £725. I had various contact with them until one day after the money was transferred. I have contacted the fraud squad, my bank and the police but it seems there is not much they can do. I paid into a Halifax bank account, they must be able to trace this surely?
