oh well

i am back in san francisco ready for my flight back tomorrow.
it was nice while it lasted so back to the real world

this country [UK] can learn a lot from the yanks. i deliberately went for the option of taking a car and just going. getting to know the real USA

without doubt, the USA is suffering at the moment with its economy but the people were kind, polite, and considerate. they know how to treat guests in their country.

I should be in Vegas this minute. We were due to fly on the 25th, but our United flight was cancelled (check out United Airlines Suck on Facebook). The best they could offer for the rest of the week was via Heathrow (*spits*), Frankfurt and Chicago. Probably the three worst airports in the world !!!

We cancelled flat out and reclaimed our ticket price plus compo. (We've booked again with Virgin for next May).

but no consolation, you look forward to your holiday and it gets ruined at the last minute

Well yeh - we've flown AA, Delta and US Airways with no problem.

Never fly United / Continental.

Edit: I first flew to the US with Laker Airlines !! Must have been very early 80's !!
