And are/were they her employers ? ( are they the company on her payslips ) ( is this about underpayment of wages? - Not sure where I've got that from to be honest) maybe pm me company name and what case is about ... ?? otherwise she could just be throwing more money down the drain - it's incredibly difficult to try help with zero information and I have no idea atm if she's doing things right or not.
