  • Housing Benefit Interview?

When making an application for housing benefit does the applicant require to attend an interview or are applications done electronically and decision gets made without an interview?

I know they are compliance interviews with HB, but are they application interviews as well?

Also, when renting from a housing association does that require a face to face interview or is it done all over the phone or internet?

Did you have an interview to become appointee originally ? or are you just becoming an appointee for the purposes of making the HB application ? It is likely an interview will be requested, some councils come to you others ask you to go to them...and I'm sure some do neither... it will depend on your council and the specific circumstances of the case - the best thing is to have a chat with your local council HB section so you know the best way to go about the application.

No, I didn't become an appointee just for hb I've been one for 4 years now? What if I did? Would that be deemed suspicious and an investigation would be carried out? So, different councils operate differently so some councils u get hb and others you don't?
