  • Me Versus MBNA Credit Card

I spoke to MBNA yesterday and the lady on the live chat confirmed that on a credit card I DID indeed have PPI.

I found and old statement for 2007 and saw a payment of £28.06 for Payment Protection.

I have their MBNA PPI questionnaire in front of me and want to know which specific answer to put,

all I remember, is a filled in a mailshot and there was NO mention of do I want PPI.
I was fully employed at the time, and even if I did get made redund I easily had the means to pay card.

I just don't want to get turned down because I answered something slighty wrong.

ie - B2, How was this PPI sold to you...ive put cant remember - as I have no recollection of ever being offered it and I would NOT knowingly have purchased it.

    B3 - was I given advice - well NO

Then it mentions in D section abount redund/sick accide pay etc

Well I worked for A company for 3 years during taking the card out and was on good money.
I did actually get made redund. and was working again within 2 months and never made a claim !

Any advice would be fab !

I haven't seen the MBNA questionnaire but yes saying that you don't recall is fine, also say that you were unaware you had it until recently, and that you wouldn't have taken it had you known or being given any choice in the matter and your finances were such that you had no need for any such policy.

You could also add that you were made redundant and that further evidences you had no idea about the policy's existence.

Had a reply from MBNA today and complaint has now been passed to a case specialist.
              They now have 28 days.

I am hoping ill get something, as reading up on some MBNA on here, they are quick to reject.

                An update

Had a phone call from MBNA today requesting further information.
The lady wanted to know how much I was earning around 1999 and what sick pay I would have been on and what savings I had.

I told her the truth and that I was earning a decent amount, wife at the time was also earning and had quite a bit of readily available cash savings.

She then said I will get a letter of decision on the 11th May,

Anyone know from experience, if this will be a settlement of value or nothing ?

                Regards
                Q.,

                  Hello Folks,

                  Good News,
My Partner has just text me and that MBNA have written back and are awarding me £1,535

I have no idea what the max I would have been entitled to, but I am happy with this.,
This will go a long way towards our wedding fund for this October,
