Barclayloan PPI

I have just been checking my OH BarclaysSAR details and I came across a single insurance premium amount at start of her barclayloan.

Can someone kindly confirm if these calculations are correct ?

Loan Amount £10,000
Insurance Premium Amount £3,035.42
Monthly Repayment Amount £238.68

£3,035.42 / £13,035.42 x 100 = 23.29%

£238.68 x 23.29% = £55.59 (Insurance part of monthly payment)

Yes..correct .assuming 238.68 was TOTAL MTHLY PAYMNT

I meant 238.68 being total including ppi

Details below of a now expired and paid off loan that I had from Barclays (PPI reclaimed):

Loan Total: £32,000
PPI: £7.836.80
Duration: 24 months
Amount: £313.65 pcm

So you paid £69.71 PPI per month ?

Were you successful with your claim and was the insurance added for the loan to be successful ?

Bazza, Just checked original Loan Agreement. PPI is listed as £61.70 for each month (240 months). Apologies, 'PPI reclaimed' should read 'PPI being reclaimed'. I have received an acknowledgement from Barclays, together with an assurance of a decision by early Jan.

Bazza, Just checked original Loan Agreement. PPI is listed as £61.70 for each month (240 months). Apologies, 'PPI reclaimed' should read 'PPI being reclaimed'. I have received an acknowledgement from Barclays, together with an assurance of a decision by early Jan.

Keep us posted as my OH has an ongoing barclayloan PPI claim in which we are also awaiting an acknowledgement.

My OH checked her bank account over the weekend and there was a deposit of over £6,000 !

She received a letter today from Barclays confirming that her complaint had been up-held :tinysmile_twink_t2:

I must say that was quick, all dealt with within two months of the original complaint.

Found it strange though that she received money in bank before receiving the letter.

I'm still to check figures though as quite a strange way that they have presented them lol !

I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth and my OH and I are truly grateful.

They have paid her for a couple of years more than I calculated, so I just need to firstly check the amount of premiums they had refunded.

The refund was for 7 years of premium, so therefore I calculate 84 months worth @ £55.59 = £4,669.56 but they have refunded £3,189.64 ????
