But that's the predicament that I am in - do I just sign accept and return but mention that the statutory is owed to me or do I just say nothing and let them offset everything and then submit a further complaint ?

If a debt has been sold it is much easier to get the refund paid in full to you'
If the account is still with the original creditor some that know of have insisted that
as the PPI was missold and likely caused financial problem then the refund should not
be offset.
I suggest completing the form and sending with a covering letter pointing out the above.

The debt is still with NatWest and not with any third party.

Would I need to send them anything substantiating financial hardship i.e. any outstanding priority debt info, like a utility bill arrears ?

Also if they decide to still offset, am I still entitled to receive the 8% net statutory figure does anyone know ?

Good idea if you have anything like that Bazza!
If interest was charge at the rate of the loan/card on the PPI ( one of premium added to the loan, or monthly payment of premium + interest you should be paid.

Well I spoke to FOS today and they confirmed that any priority debt arrears should be considered by the bank when redress made on arrears accounts, but any 8% net statutory payment will be offset and not paid to me.

All seems a bit confusing as I am sure I read regarding this situation that the claimant was still entitled to statutory payment amount.

Has anyone encountered the same circumstances or can kindly enlighten me.

I have also asked for further clarification from FOS as details on website are not very clear where this situation occurs.
