If you decide to want to pursue the underwriter before going to the FOS first let me know, because I can forward you the letter.

Just a quick couple of questions - what is the relationship now and previously, between Dial4ALoan and Welcome Finance ? The reason that I ask is that I received a recent correspondence from Welcome with a Birstall, Batley address (Dial4ALoans) at the bottom of their headed paper.
They also mention that they have a Dial4ALoan special designated team at Welcome dealing with their complaints ?

Previous to that I received details from Dial4ALoan showing commissions between them and Welcome Finance ?

Any help would be appreciated thank-you

OK dogtired no worries, I was just hoping someone might have encountered the same.

I really just want to establish the current relationship between Dial4ALoan and Welcome as I seem to be getting response letters from both, nearly word for word the same ??????

Bazza what was the year you taken this out with Welcome?

It may had differed throughout the years, so it may not have been the same for everyone, i can try having a browse around here and there to see if i can find anything....

It was November 2003, when Welcome were regulated by GISC, but Dial4ALoan were not (similar to your example you kindly provided).

As you well know with lack of confidence from FOS, so I am trying to cover all possibilities here....:tinysmile_twink_t2:

Bazza just a thought came to me, now I believe Welcome do not run anymore, but are dealt with by the Financial compensation scheme, (FSCS) this business deals with claims if that particular business you complaining about was FSA regulated only, they will not deal with GISC unfortunately.
So this is why reclaims prior to 2005 via Welcome are suggested to take the underwriter avenue.

For your interest check out more with the FSCS and Welcome Finance on the link below, but I had one with the FSCS when Eloan (Twopart ltd) went into adminstration but they were FSA regulated because it was a loan taken out in 2005.

So that explains what the lovely girl at FOS was going on about. I've just had a quick look at the FSCS website and seems to be the case.

Will just have to wait and see what FOS come up with.
