Not sure of a definate timescale, as it can vary depending on who's dealing wih it, contact to ask how long should it be for you to receive the refund, they should be able to confirm :tinysmile_twink_t2:

Just an update really.
I spoke to MBNA today and they said a letter has gone out to me with an offer of £3400 for the miss selling of my PPI payments.
I am very happy and they also said a cheque would follow within 28 days.
This is 10 years worth of ppi so I will see what the calculations show.

Another update for you all, I received the offer on Friday from MBNA and low and behold today when I got home from work another letter with a cheque in it
Im well chuffed £3300 to bank tomorrow

Ok I got fed up with waiting because everyone else seem to be getting somewhere, so I rang them on the number on the FOS letter. He said that there had "been a cheque raised" for £1890". and the offer letter had been posted yesterday.
So it seems like the offer at least is on its way, TBH I was so pleased with the news that I did not inquire further as to exactly " a check has been raised" does this mean the total amount of redress which would include a debit for the sum outstanding on the account, so be some amount less when I actually receive it, or does is this net of any deductions.

The amount quoted does tally with my calculations for the net amount owed to me after any sums on the card are settled. Guess I will have to await the post, still a step forward.

I got the offer letter this afternoon, just under £3k and it includes statutory interest at 8% so it looks like this is the amount I should get, still trying to be cautious until I actually see the check though.

Just received my cheque.

Buckets and spades for the grandchildren on holidays after all
