I'd get in quickly if you are owed a refund from this company in case they vanish. I'm having a guess they either didn't bother appealing or they lost. Have the MOJ said anything?

THE BELOW DECISION IS STAYED PENDING APPEAL

As a result of an investigation, the Claims Management Regulator has decided to suspend and vary Cerys-Angharad Limited’s authorisation to provide claims management services under the Compensation Act 2006 with effect from 17 January 2014.

    The additional conditions are:

    1. Cerys-Angharad Limited will not complete direct marketing by telephone to obtain potential clients for regulated claims management activities.

    2. Cerys-Angharad Limited will not instruct a third party to complete direct marketing by telephone to obtain potential clients for regulated claims management activities on its behalf.

Cerys-Angharad Limited was found in breach of the following Conduct of Authorised Persons Rules 2013(2):

General Rule 2 - A business shall conduct itself responsibly.

Client Specific Rule 1(c) - A business shall ensure that all information given to the client is clear, transparent, fair and not misleading.

Client Specific Rule 6(d) - In soliciting business through advertising, marketing and other means a business must not imply that the business is approved by the Government or is connected with any government agency or regulator.

Client Specific Rule 10 - Before seeking to enter into a contract with a client a business must make reasonable enquiries as to whether the client has alternative mechanisms for pursuing a claim and must advise the client unambiguously of ombudsman schemes or other official means of redress

Client Specific Rule 13 - A business must make explicit to the client his right to seek further advice or to shop around, subject to any time limits within which a claim must be made.

Client Specific Rule 14 - A business must take reasonable steps to ensure that the client is able to understand the contract that he is being asked to agree to.

Cerys-Angharad Limited was also found in breach of the Complaints Handling Rules 2006:

Rule 4 - A business must have in place and operate appropriate and effective internal complaints handling procedures (which must be in writing) for handling any dissatisfaction, whether oral or written, and whether justified or not, from or on behalf of a complainant about that business’s provision of a regulated claims management service

Rule 11 - A business must send a written or electronic acknowledgement of a complaint within five business days of receipt, giving the name or job title of the individual handling the complaint for the business, together with details of the business’s internal complaints handling procedures.

Rule 12(a) and (b) - A business must, within four weeks of receiving a complaint, send the complainant either a final response; or a holding response, which explains why it is not yet in a position to resolve the complaint and indicates when the business will make further contact (which must be within eight weeks of receipt of the complaint).

Unfortunately as they are no longer authorized they don't have to abide by MOJ rules. Surrendering their authorization is a cop out.

Re: Cerys Angharad t/a Ifonic and Get Claiming

I can also confirm that they have lost they're license to deal with claims and the clients that would be due refunds are going to be fobbed off, as company policy is outlined. They actually tell the staff to string the clients along and refuse refunds and even threaten to charge the client for work already carried out, which actually mean the client isn't due a refund. Any member of staff that question this, are told "if you don't like it, then leave".

I can however advise everyone here of the following details:-

The Company Director is a Mr Cliff Stanford.
Here is a link for his own wikipedia page. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Stanford

You will probably get no joy in speaking to him directly, however I have his direct contact number and home address if anyone wanted it. (please message me)

They have ceased dealing with PPI claims and have taken a number of other products that I believe is other methods to try and fleece people out of they're hard earned cash.

He is now currently running and directly involved with the below companies.
        Retirement Review Ltd ( http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/retirement-review )
        Liebermann Lloyd Ltd ( http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/liebermann-lloyd )

Now as an ex employee of Retirement Review I can state the following as concrete and can be checked and verified.

Retirement Review are currently appointed representatives for Portal Financial. [UPDATE: The relationship between Portal Finance and Retirement Review ended on 12th June 2014]
Retirement Review contact people and offer a free review of they're pensions with a view to deal with clients investment matters. They source these leads through unsolicited calls advising clients that the review is free no matter what happens with they're investments and reviews. However this is in fact incorrect. They are passing the relevant details accumulated in the pension review process and passing them on, at a price, to third party companies, and also to Liebermann Lloyd Ltd.
They are using the same methods to con people, but now its to gain as much information so as to sell on to make money.

A bigger concern is that the aim is to get the clients to invest in high risk areas where the company makes as much money as possible, and I can only refer to last years "Harlequin" investment failings as an example.
        http://citywire.co.uk/new-model-advi...u-turn/a688768

Liebermann Lloyd Ltd are trying to get people to invest into http://www.parkfirst.com/ & http://www.s1.co.uk/. They contact the clients of Retirement Review Ltd, along with all theyre financial details already being provided from RR systems, attempt to sell investments above. They take very large payments from clients either from credit cards or savings, of which is then invested. They make massive commissions from the investment companies themselves, and then it is out of theyre hands as they say, no protection for the clients at all. Also these investments above are currently not regulated, which is how and why they are doing it.

The sickening thing about all of this is that Mr Cliff Stanford has applied to the Welsh Assembly for a grant of £300,000 for Retirement Review Ltd, that will sustain jobs in the area. This grant has been approved. However the reports given to the Welsh Assembly are falsified and a number of employees from Liebermann Lloyd Ltd are being paid salaries by Retirement Review Ltd in an attempt to show a steady growth to the business in accordance to the Welsh Assembly grant guidelines.

Even when dealing with FCA regulated products like investments and pensions, they fail to train they're staff adequately and even order the staff to sign FCA forms to say that you had been trained. When I challenged this I was told if I didn't sign it, I would be sent home and wouldn't be able to return until I had signed it. (I signed it with my left hand)

The company have now laid me off due to my position no longer being available, yet they are telling the Welsh Assembly that they are growing according to the approved business plan. I believe that me rasing a number of concerns regarding certain things have made me a headache for the company and for Cliff Stanford himself.

I hope this message gets across to as many people as possible and that it limits the amount of people that are conned by this man and his companies.
