Re: PPI - Gregson & Brooke

The MOJ are advising that you write to both GB and One Tick saying that you're disputing the bill and that you want a copy of the signed terms & conditions. Once you get those we'll advise.

        Ok.

Don't include or make any reference as to precisely why you're disputing the demand for payment (we'll need the T&Cs to do that). And don't make any reference to the letter you got from Halifax at this stage.

Just be polite and say that in order to consider the payment demand you need the T&Cs.

Also you might want to complain to Halifax that despite their assurance to you that they wouldn't deal with GB, they have clearly disclosed to GB that you got your refund.

Re: PPI - Gregson & Brooke

          Thanks

Response arrived yesterday morning, please see attached. I am not holding out any hope, as it clearly says I would owe 25% if they pay direct or not.

I dont know what to do, I cant really afford it and they have called to say its been passed to the the legal representives. It says in the letter the original invocie was sent 21st August, I dont recall seeing one!

Ok I would respond attaching the letter from Halifax and stating that as GB failed to provide them with a valid letter of authority to represent you in your claim, they were not capable of providing the claims management services that they were contracted to supply.

How shall I close the letter off? I have "I trust the enclosed and above will resolve this matter and the unpaid charged will be waivered"?

Thanks, you have have been so helpful!

Re: PPI - Gregson & Brooke

Sorry, I just photocopied the letter from Halifax and noticed that the account number is diferent to the account number that One Tick refer too. I only ever recieved 1 PPI claim back from Halifax so it has to be this one, hence them sending me the cheque directly in relation to that account. So One Tick must be refering to that.

I am just panicking, will send the letter anyway as I know the PPI claim was from the account that the Halifax letter states which was the only claim agreed.

Work out 25% + VAT of the compensation amount you received and if it marries with what they're asking for that should confirm it.

Yes the amount I recieved was £3,595.50 so the 25% works out. I was just concerned that the account numbers did not match. I may go home tonight look for more paperwork as dont want to mess things up.

Re: PPI - Gregson & Brooke

Ok, so after a bit of searching I came across a few things.

1: The letter from Halifax saying they can not discuss with G&B has a diferent CC number to the letter recieved from One tick.
2: I have found a letter from G&B enclosing a copy of a letter from Halifax which shows they have made me an offer, sent to G&B in August 2012, however this was requested much after my payment was made in Feb. Again CC number same as ref on One Tick letter.
3: The halifiax letter sent to me saying they can not talk to G&B and the copy letter sent to G&B contiaing a breakdown of my offer have the same Halifax ref number.
4: I called Halifax this morning, gave them the ref number and they confirm this was the account where the PPI cliam was succesfull.

As this was the only claim I was succesful in, I can only assume the letter from Halifax saying they cant deal with G&B was just a typo of the CC number. As the ref numbers match on everything else.

Shall I go ahead and send the original letter as planned?

                              Thanks

                              K
