Reclaiming PPI on Egg Credit Card

I wrote to Canada Square Operations about a credit card that I took out in 2003.

I filled the form in and sent it back to them and eventually received a letter telling me that they were not upholding my claim.

With all the hype about pre-ticked boxes I sent them a SAR.

I have today received the information regarding my account and it contains an agreement that makes no mention of ppi at all.

Could you please advise what you think should be my next step.

Have you been paying PPI on the credit card ? How much have you been paying and when did it start ? Did you get all your statements (transaction history) in the SAR ?

Yes I did pay ppi but it was called Credit Card Repayment Protector then. I got all my statements and the ppi started on 9th February 2003.

Can you post up your claim form and their rejection letter--with your personal details removed

If not--briefly tell us your reasons for claiming mis-selling ----and also their reasons for rejecting it

Many, EGG credit crud agreements made no mention of PPI/CRP. But when one filled in the on-line EGG, compulsary, application the CRP/PPI was shown!
Canada Square Operations appear to be very reluctant to supply information that related to the rip-off PPI...wonder why?:tung:

It must have been pre-ticked on the EGG website or, EGG added same without your wishing to take out the CRP/PPI.

Note: it was only the very early EGG cards that were applied for by post; these were referred to by EGG as 'regular' accounts. As stated prior EGG credit cards had to be applied for via the EGG website, at which point one took out the CRP/PPI;
many were of the opinion that if the CRP/PPI was not taken out, the credit card application would have been declined...!

Sorry to bounce this thread . I had a Egg card from 1998 , I believe it was appied for one line , it was eventually transfered to Barclycard (who have stated they don't believe there is a claim ) , though I was supposed to recieve this rejection letter last July (2013) . None arrived and their only sending it out today . As I suspect I got my Egg card on line , would i have to contact Canadna Square and request for my contract details ?

Thanks ;-) . I rang the Ombutsman as Barclycard rejected it . I was told I had a good claim so I should be fine now (I hope ) . And T&C won't be required from me ;-) .
