Sharkleys continue to be as unhelpful as they can, got a reply to my e mail.
She appears not to have read my comment regarding the account this money is coming from and tells me I can pay via bank transfer to the Barclay's account.
Or I can go into a branch and pay over the counter.
I do " have" to do this by the end of the month.
My bank say there would be a charge for a bankers draft and that I could transfer the amount needed from one account to the other.
So, dilemma, want rid but this would deplete savings ( some of ppi went into it) , carry on with payment plan, or stop paying altogether ( which I know LB does not recommend).

I just cannot believe the appalling customer service of Barclay's.
Went in to local town today, has Barclay's, would not take payment from my debit card said it had to be cash, no way..
Luckily my bank is just over the road and i did this by them .
e mailed and phoned and asked for confirmation of receipt of this sum.:target:

If you want action from Barclays i can recommend you contact the following person within the Complaints Dept at Barclays Head Office in London:-

              Paul.xa.fox@barclays.com

With Barclaycard avoiding me and not replying to my letters over a 6 month period i contacted
Paul Fox and within 10 days my complaint had been resolved.

Dont give up being terrible do they, got the letter sbout the payment I made, dispite previous letters saying this would be in " full and final settlement" it will now show on credit files as " partial settlement"
They do apologise tht they hve not resolved the complaint to my satisfaction ( thats big of them, not!)
The adjudicator at FOS is off this week but sent an e mail informing of developments.

Reply from FOS for this and another complaint.
Want to know if they can close this now!
On the recent revelations about them I have said "No" so now another long wait whilst in the Q for an ombudsman.

                      It pays to be persistant!
Letter from ombudsman today and they are " minded" to disagree with the adjuicator and that Barclay's have said they have done things but then not done them and made several errors.
If both they and me (? I) agree they will ask them to further compensate me for the stress and inconvenance.
I have until the end of May to submit any other evidence and then Barclays have to compensate me should be in the region of £250 !
Mr DT has had his op, taking bit longer than he would like to get going and he now has to stay in as he has an infection.

                          Thank you Di.
If it is that sum it is just a little bit more than I paid them in the full and final, wonder what that would do for the status on credit reference agency?
Hopefully I get the same ombudsman for my Sainsbury complaint as the adjudicator for that one has been a joke !

                            Hi Dogtired,

I am delighted for you at the response from the Ombudsman. ........one door closes and another door opens......!!!!!! I'm sure it goes without saying but I hope that you have included the details of the payment being refused!

Keep up the good fight. It is a great encouragement for others in the same position!! Hope all continues well for Mr DT.

                            very best regards,

                              Thank you,, much appreciated.
Yes I did in my additianal points but they dont seem to have commented on that.
Apparently this decision will be posted, eventually, on the FOS site they do not identify me directly.
Think Barclays have been given the same time frame, will keep you posted.
Do you happen to know the answer to my question re credit referance as the bar stewards marked it as a partial settlmentn this after saying it was in full and final.

                                Hi Dogtired,

from what I have been able to gather, if it says "partial" on your letter then this is what appears on your record.

However, the crux of the matter is that Barclays said it would be "full and final" and, once again, they have not kept their word. I don't trust any institution until they deliver what has been promised and the evidence is in your hand!

                                All the best,

                                :beagle:Xxxxxx
