Always best to keep things to the written word!
However, you may be able to make some headway on the phone, unlikely though as Sharkleys dont know their left hand from their right!
You could try emailing Paul Fox: paul.xa.fox@barclays.com
who is reputed to be very helpful, apparently?

If, you feel that you're not getting anywhere?
I know of someone else who he helped resolve a problem!

              Sorry, got into watching Strictly!
Any way, letter says what I got as SDAR was what they had, PPI was active from 1997 to 2001, the figures they based it on were right, even though they cannot provide the statements that "prove" this!
Another ( better) copy of the application form, NO box ticked, a generic set of terms and conditions, a " compensation" of £100.00 to be taken off the remaining balance but if I was still having problems to get in touch as they really like to try and help. So now what?

                  This being the copy application, cannot improve it anymore I am afraid but the NO box is ticked;
                  Phoned FOS.
                  Well that was an experiance!
Says he "thinks" Barclays were correct but that he will action this to a higher level I have also asked that the Banks conduct thus far as basis for a further complaint.

You can see quite clearly on the application form that NO has been ticked!

Also, interesting to note that the form is minus of a prescribed terms...:beagle:

They did send a generic terms and conditions.
What prescibribed terms would they be?
                        Thank you

It was only an observation, dogtired. Also, generic terms are not sufficient; they should have supplied the terms that were issued at the same time as when you applied for the credit: 1997. Together, with the terms as varied...

Anyhow, this is all rather irrelevant as I believe your complaint is about PPI!

Is this what they have sent to you (post #113), or is it just that the posted copy is bad?

A bit of both, the first one they sent was unreadable, did my best to enhance it.
AC yes the argument being, if, as they say the PPI was cancelled in 2001, how can they calculate it without any figures.
Any PPI was, well it looks like it, added after the applicaton was processed, as said when the SDAR was returned it was incomplete, waiting for the FOS to get back to me as I have asked them to recalculate it,
