    I know....absolutely gut wrenching!
I didn't actually get a pay out as a result of lifestyle claims, I finally got some money but from my own doing.
Redhawk did ask for payment at the tale end of last year, but when I explained that I was down over £2800, the bloke on the phone said "....I see...erm..just ignore that mate, I'm not going to ask you to pay out even more"

So did you in fact receive £608.04 from a PPI claim ?
That claim though actually cost you £2879.94 for the solicitor to act for you, £300 admin fee and now a bill for £218.89, what a great result , for the CMC lol sorry to be so glib but I actually feel sick for you tbh.

That makes your costs £3400 and a return of £610 I can't get that to 30% in any format lol

    Hi EXC,

    1) I've tried to scan the letters, but had to take photos in the end, so I hope they're legible!

    http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/...psa935297e.jpg

    2) Not sure I understand (from what angle) what you were asking. The response I received from MOJ and Sharma was that they both recommended I pursue my credit card company to make a section 75 claim to reclaim the £2800+ that I lost. They didn't suggest I had already claimed money back from any claims and therefore had received a service though if that's what you were asking?

    3) I don't have anything relating to the fees I paid to Lifestyle though (just my statement), which is what I found difficult when making my claim with my credit card company unfortunately.

    4) I found the attached document in another thread (or maybe it was earlier in this thread), but unfortunately my name doesn't feature in the list :tinysmile_cry_t: rats!

I appreciate any advice you may have!

In order for us to help you could you tell us the following:

    1) What does the invoice for £218.89 from Redhawk say exactly? is it possible you can scan and post it up, removing any personal information?

    2) When you say you complained to Client Connection in November, did they or Sharma respond suggesting that you claimed the money back from your credit card provider?

    3) Do you have any paperwork relating to the fees you paid Lifestyle?

    4) In the document attached towards the bottom does your name appear in the long list of creditors that are displayed sidewards - bearing in mind the names are not in alphabetical within their letter groupings.

    Re: lifestyle claims ppi

I spoke to them at the tail end of last year, but everything went quiet from Lifestyle Claims/Redhawk Legal, so I resigned myself to the fact I'd been stupid and would just have to pay the balance off my credit card myself.
The invoice was actually sent to my previous address only the other day - my mate bought my side of the house, so he lets me know if any post arrives - so i've only started looking into things again as a result of this weekend.

EDIT - having looked back at my emails, I have indeed launched a complaint about Client Connection Ltd trading as Lifestyle Claims. This email dates back to 20th November 2012 and also suggests I contact my credit card company to claim via Section 75. However, as I mentioned previously, I've got as far as sending forms back to the credit card company, who then require evidence that Lifestyle Claims were going to refund the 4x £719.96 installments regardless...but I don't have it in writing :tinysmile_cry_t:

I received a telephone call from Lifestyle Claims around June 2012 with regards to claiming back money on missold PPI cover. After being given a Ministry of Justice authorisation number, I decided to take on their services, to which I was told I would need to pay an admin fee of around £300, which I duly paid, having been told I was actually entitled to a substantial amount of compensation, that would far out-weigh the admin fee.

I was then called a day or two later, with the proposition that if I paid a fee to cover the lawyers fees up front, my case would be dealt with quickly and was promised that I would be reimbursed the lawyers fees regardless of whether my claim(s) was/were successful. Having gained my trust, I authorised four payments of £719.96 to be debited from my credit card on 19th June 2012, having been given assurance that I would get the money back regardless of my success.

I was constantly fobbed off and told to ring back in another 4 weeks, when there should be an update on my claims (which there obviously never was), however during the latter end of August 2012 and October 2012, I couldn't make contact with Lifestyle Claims at all via the telephone.

I have since been informed that Redhawk Legal, have now taken over Lifestyle Claims' clients who have now gone into administration, which was dealt with by Sharma & Co. I made contact with Sharma to enquire as to how I get my four payments of £719.96 reimbursed, that I was promised I would get back regardless of my success, but was told to contact my credit card supplier to claim the money back via Section 75 of the credit card act. I duly filled out all the forms sent by the credit card company (twice!), but was told they couldn't progress my claim because I didn't have evidence to prove their promise of paying back the four installments of £719.96! So now I'm left to repay £2879.84 for a service I didn't receive, and to add insult to injury, Redhawk Legal have just sent me an invoice for £218.89 for their services!?

I was sent a letter by Sharma & Co. to say that Redhawk legal were taking over from Lifestyle Claims, but have not signed any paperwork for Redhawk, neither have they provided me with a successful PPI claim...so surely I shouldn't have to pay them squat!?

Wish I'd never started down this PPI route..

    Re: lifestyle claims ppi

Both Exc and I understood that the MOJ/TS were in a series of communications with Redhawk and that they were also taking further advice on this matter and as yet we have not been privvy to that advice. Hopefully when Exc comes on tomorrow he may have some further news. Please do not let them intimidate you and please do send a copy of that letter as I requested in my earlier post to the MOJ/TS.

Have you signed any documentation with Redhawk committing you to a payment to them. If you have not then have you written a complaint letter to Redhawk as they cannot chase you: a) for a debt that they have no right to have and b) whilst there is a complaint in progress they cannot push forward with the debt collectors this is against OFT rulings.

We have already had one success story with another Lifestyle case with another CMC, who after receiving a complaint letter from the ex client of Lifestyle they have completely dropped the case. So please cover all bases and hopefully that will do the trick. Somewhere on one of the threads is a sample letter of complaint I will have a quick look for you if not I am sure that Exc will knock up something suitable as a complaint to Redhawk and remember not to sign with your usual signature in case they copy it in some way.

Can you also send the MOJ/TS a copy please consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk and advise them that you are a Legal Beagle member. I believe that Redhawk and the MOJ have been in communication with each other.

Well done Nick, a fabulous result and as Exc has suggested please do write to the regulators and advise them that they have dropped the case against you and the reasons why they have dropped it and also write a brief summary of your story because this will help others who find themselves in the same boat as you.

Just updating you on my situation with Synergy. I sent them a formal complaint with the points that you raised in post #122 and finally got the following reply :-

"As you are already aware from previous correspondence, we worked as an agent (sub-contractor) for Lifestyle Claims. This arrangement ended in 2012 and we gave clients the opportunity to move their outstanding claims over to ourselves by signing our own terms of business. All clients that did not wish to do so were removed from our system.

On checking your file, I note that you have not returned our Terms of Business and you should have also been included in the group of clients that was deleted. You should not have received any further service or correspondence from ourselves.
Please accept my apologies for this error. Your file has now been closed on our system and you will not receive any further correspondence from us. If you have any ongoing issues relating to the fees that you paid to Lifestyle Claims, please contact the company that is now administering their cases - Redhawk Legal on 0844 669 0300.

With regard to your statement that we are a dissolved MOJ entity, please note that Gravity was simply an old unused trading name that was removed from our authorisation. We remain authorised under number 19138 which you can see at https://www.claimsregulation.gov.uk/...y=-1&status=-1

    Regards,

    Tony Gioserano (Director)"

So hopefully I won't receive any more demands for payment. I did actually get one a few days ago threatening court action but this was sent before the above email - as I'm in Australia in took 7 days to get to me via post. I find it strange that they state that I was on their system by error. As stated in a previous post they sent me the first demand for payment in January 2013 and then a few weeks later sent the documentation asking me to sign over to their T&Cs.

Thanks again for your help. I hadn't been on here I may have incorrectly paid their fee demand just to get them off my back - especially when they threatened court action.

I'll let you know how I get on with the Credit Card/Debit Card payments.
    .

    Nice one.

If you could it would be helpful to report this to the Regulator so that it may assist others.

If you can, write a brief summary of your story as in your first post highlighting the fact although your complaint has been resolved you should never have been threatened with legal action, bailiffs and CCJs and include the final demand, your complaint and the last e-mail you had and send it to consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk
