When was the misell and did Aviva refuse respnsabilty saying they did not sell the policy.

I used Dis template, Aviva rejected on the grounds they had nothing to do with it, another member of LB had said this was par for the course for Welcome who actuallly just did it all them selves.
The other name on my origanal documents was, apart from Welcome, Direct Group, although as yet I do not know if the FOS are looking at them as well

Mine was actually GE Cap bank, think they may be related GE Money ;-)

The only reason they declined it was Quot "G E MOney sold the policy in 2000, not Aviva" Im going to take your advice and email/write to ceo of aviva and cardiff pinnacle. Once again a big thank you for your excellent advice, will keep you updated.

So sorry about the rejection.

Did I give you a copy of my letter I used?
Think they are taking it literally that you are saying it was them that did not sell it, so they are not giving in.

When I wrote to my underwriter/insurer about mine, it was worded that they still have liabilities (although they didnt sell it direct), and they have a duty to make sure the policy is/was suitable for the policy.

I would write back, or even write to their CEO with a copy of the letter you sent, highlight the main points, and ask them to review, or it will be going to the FOS who will be able to take the case on.

I bet they never even read it properly.
If that was the only reason they given about (they did not sell the policy) and nothing else, they seemed to have brushed it off.
Ask them to review and tell them you have also sent a copy to the CEO as well.

Sent to FOS about September last year, they replied saying they will be writing to Aviva so early days I guess.

Another update on the ge money/ and cardiff pinnacle underwriters misell of ppi,
Both have refused to accept respnsability for one reason and another, although had a phone call from the FOS and a member of the specialist team. To be brief he said due to the date it was sold (ppi) and the way it was sold they are quit confident in a positive resault and will be persuing my complaint. Not sure what or how they have come to this decision.....any ideas?

Another update from pinnacle and aviva, nothing excitinting Cardiff Pinnacle have written to me stating that "They are not in a position to give their final decission regaring my missell complaint as they are stil waiting for information from the finance company (GE money) Same letter for four of my complaints. They then go on to say in acorance with the FSA regulations I can now approach the FOS to adjudicate my complaint.
Sill not a rejection.
