Re: Calamity Jane v GE Money

    Any PPI experts out there?
I'd really like some advice on this before I send the claim off?
i.e. any obvious mistakes or omissions.

Am no expert by any means CJ the letter to me looks great, I am at a loss though with the interest, I thought you couldn't claim the 8% till you have actually filed at court and then the costs as well can be claimed.
Is the £586.14 including the interest they actually charged you?

Sorry didn't make myself clear. That is my particulars of claim that I'm sending not a letter to GE Money.
The £586.14 is the total paid in respect of the ppi and the £194.90 is the statutory interest.

I don't understand your inclusion of mention of "fraudulent behaviour". What details are the lender supposed to have passed to the insurers which were fraudulent?

Are you alleging that they have told the insurer that you are working, or something like that, which in fact you were not, rendering a claim for unemployment impossible?

I would suggest that they haven't passed any such information and hence haven't done anything fraudulent.

If I'm missing your point, please explain.

You're right that bit needs to be taken out. The truth is that as far as I know there are few claims that have been taken through the courts as most cases have been taken to the FOS .
As this is a pre Jan 2005 I not able to do that so I've had to look elsewhere for ideas that I can incorporate in my claim.
That is why I asked for peoples advice and opinions and I appreciate yours.
