  • PPI claims with Nat West.

    Hi to everybody

As some of you may remember i approached Nat West regarding PPI payments made to my mortgage and consequential losses suffered by the servicing account. Nat West responded by requesting grant of probate for my late wife's estate before they would consider any further aspect of the claim. (Although they paid out on 6 previous claims against our joint loans etc....) After a number of months and some expense to myself i have provided the bank with the document of probate. Bearing in mind that this has been going on since october 2011, with numerous telephone calls and letters going back and forth, they have now written to me asking on what grounds i beleive that the PPI'S to have been miss-sold. Why are these people so unbelievably awkward?

They have also failed in responding, on numerous occasions, receipt of my request that the subsequential losses be investigated. Should i consider that they are ignoring it and i will give up?

    THINK AGAIN...

Does anybody have any ideas on how to get my message across more clearly. I am not giving up...

    Hi

Maybe Leclerc will know more on this business and on how to deal with them, he has plenty of experience within this business.

When did you actually provide them with probate? Have you considered emailing the CEO of the bank?

They have had the document for over two weeks now. I spoke to them yesterday and they are saying that i have to write to them with my detailed complaint, as they cannot use previous correspondance for what they are calling a "fresh claim". Absolute drivvel.....

Your previous complaint was not taken forward so you should email the CEO of RBS Group quoting the complaint reference number and stating that you now have the probate so now they can proceed with the complaint since what you were told was utter drivel.

Re: PPI claims with Nat West.

As i mentioned in this post previously i retuned by registered post the document of probate along with my written statement as to why i felt that the PPI was miss-sold, as per the bank's request.
As i had not heard from them for a couple of weeks i decided to phone them. Guess what? They cannot find the document of probate, or have any trace of my claim, or any correspondance from me whatsoever logged on their system. Neither can they explain to me why my post, always registered, has been lost.
Now, all of a sudden the legal document that is probate is ok to forward to them via a fax to their faxination number.

A total sham. Give me strength.......

Good news and some closure on this one....

Just received an offer from the bank for my mortgage PPI and the figures are within 20 quid of what i had calculated. Funny, though. I was under the assumption that RBS had an "estimated" 8 week turnaround for such claims. Obviously i have become a thorn in their side with my complaints. I just hope they realise the thorn may stay a while and become a tad infected.....
