  • Mint Credit Card PPI Refusal

Hi everyone, Thanks in advance for any help that is given, you are all doing a great service.

I have today received a letter regarding my mint credit card refusing my PPI claim. This was taken out in January 2004. Basically they are telling me that I ticked the box requesting the PPI, copy has been sent to me.

they state that the policy was on a non-advice basis but from what i can recall when i phoned to organise the card i was told that this needed to be ticked, but I can not proof this. they also state that it had a 30 day cooling off period so I could have cancelled it.

At the end of the letter it states if I am unhappy with the decision I can contact the FOS.

Can I take this matter any further or is my claim at the end of the road?

I would appreciate any help that can be offered. If you require any further information please ask.

Thank you for your help and support.

    Hi Joe and welcome

Sorry for my delay in responding.

Even though the letter says its the final decision and now you can complain to the FOS, sometimes they will still consider reviewing the complaint, no harm in giving it another shot, give them 14 days and if they do not change the decision, or if you do not hear anything further by then - complain to the FOS.
Try to give them further info if you can, tell them you do not agree with the decision they made because................... and asking them to reconsider with the further information enclosed.

And just because you signed the agreement, you may still have reasons for being mis sold.

Good luck and let us know how you get on, cheers.
