Hi all I am new to this helpful site and hope perhaps someone can give me some advice I'm seeking regarding a settlement refund.

It was agreed and finalised by the FOS in October 2007 that we were mis sold a ppi that was sold along with a secured loan we had with Nemo personal finance last yr, (this was an advance), we were told by these that we had to take the policy or borrow more to pay off the exisiting ppi cover !.
Anyway the complaint has been with the FOS since No 2006, over a year ago now and as stated above, finally resolved at long last.:okay:
Problem is now that its binding between us and the company we have not heard a thing yet, not even a letter from nemo to confirm this will be sorted etc etc with the figures !
Apparently as informed by the FOS and our adjudicator they have a month to do this from the date they were given the information which is a month now but they have a deadline date to sort this out by early Dec, which is almost here.
We contacted nemo last week just to ask on the progress of the settlement refund and were informed the manager for this side of things was away until the 28 Nov 07 and will deal with it then, so as that was today we decided to again contact them and was then told the complaints manager was not in, so in the meantime we checked through other tel numbers and come across another, got through to someone else and was told he was in and they will get back to us shortly by telephone call.......we waited a good while then received an email from them to inform us 'anything we needed to know the FOS should be able to help as they have not got any information regarding the complaint and settlement to be paid etc etc' , so due to this we got hold of our caseworker from the FOS who then emailed a copy to both us and nemo to state the information was sent to nemo solicitors (eversheds - Cardiff) on 22nd Oct 07, and requested to urgently pay this settlement payment out !
Nemo again tried to get out of it like they have tried to do so since we first complained, and have had many extension dates given to get paperwork done and even prolonged it by not giving us the settlement figure when we wanted to remortgage, which had taken 3 months to get this from them !
Looks like they are trying to pull a fast one again.
Now that we have finally remortgaged at the end of August 07, nemo have to pay the full amount of ppi, plus interest added and what we had paid, and also advised from the FOS for £250 compensation on top for the inconvenience.
I would like to know if possible, if they are given a deadline date and have not sorted or paid this out to us yet, what the procedures are ?
Please could someone advise me on this, that will be a great help, thank you so much indeed.:okay:
