My wife took out a card with Debenhams and took out PPI. She didn't really know anything about it and cannot remember asking for it. We sent of a letter to Santander who have replied saying they are not paying her because they don't beleive it was missold.
However, the letter does state ' there was no requirement upon us to record the sales process and so we have no way of knowing what took place in March 2004.'
They have said she can now take her complaint to the FLA. I wondered why it was these and not the ombudsman?
