        Sorry I'm new to this sort of thing. The link you posted is regarding complaints against the solicitor, would I have to go through the Financial Ombudsman regarding the arrangement fee?

          I did question the chap that rang me that I was aware the FSA had given Regency a final notice regarding PPI fees and that I was not aware of any other action taken against them from the FSA. He did go away and speak to his manager and quote pointed me in the direction of the Final notice issued in September 2006 which under several points suggested that a claim could be made for unfair arrangement and sol fees.

          Which 'several points' did he point out ?

          Also, if you have a copy of your mortgage agreement, scan it in (depersonalise it first) and some one can see if there may be another issue with it(eg arrangement fee including in credit figure etc) Do you actually have any problems with the mortgage arrangement at all ?

            [ £495 up front and 19% of any money if the case was won.


            As someone who has had her fingers burnt by one of these companies, can I just say, please, please be very careful.

            Once you have paid the £495 there is very little chance of you ever seeing it again.
