Thanks so much for all this work you are doing to help me with this - Ame, sorry I did go back and re-read your posts from August, but found the whole thing regarding N322b and N208 confusing, lol!

Have checked household insurance policy and whilst there is cover for legal advice it is only for employment or contract disputes.

Will get on to contacting the community legal service and see what they say............

Morning folks!

I have just spoken to my adjudicator at the FOS about this and she said that -

a) All companies are still having to process PPI complaints (as we are aware!)

b) As this has been subject to an ombudsman's final decision, there is no way that Norton can avoid paying, regardless of the judicial review, but that if it did come to having to enforce through the courts (which she thought very unlikely) the FOS will provide guidance on how to do this.................

Hi folks,

Have spoken to my local court today - fat load of use that it was................

Having gone all through the rigmarole of explaining it was for enforcement proceedings on a legally binding FOS final decision they told me I needed to file an N1....................

When I explained I didn't believe I needed to start a new claim I was told that court staff don't have legal training so couldn't advise...............

Having given up on that score I tried one last time to at least establish whether my claim would be affected by the judicial review (pointless question based upon their previous response, but hey ho!) and was told they didn't know................no surprises there then!

My dad was hopefully seeing his solicitor today (about an unrelated matter but was going to pose the question for me) - if he hasn't had a sensible reply I will deffo be contacting the community legal peeps tomorrow...............promise Ame!

Just a quick update................no cheque received as yet

We've had probs with our broadband over the last 4 days and have not been able to do much on line as we were losing connection every few minutes. Have had the engineer out this morning and it's all sorted now.

I'm currently waiting for someone from community legal peeps to get back to me.

Am also going to call NF to see what they have to say, ie have they posted it or not and will call the FOS to see if they can send me the promised further info on enforcement.

I just heard back from the community legal peeps - they said that 'cos this is a consumer matter they can't help and I need to speak to Consumer Direct...............I just feel like I'm being passed from pillar to post at the mo

They did say they can email me a list of local solicitors who may be able to help as well, but I'm not too confident as it seems absolutely no-one is 'au fait' with this procedure!

I did have a look at the April LB meet thread and was pleased to see it was going to be in London. OH and I hope we would be able to make it to that one as it's much easier to get to.............only problem might be an impending house move, but that's far from being finalised so with any luck you'll be seeing us there!

Be patient folks, the FSA are going to make a move soon.

and even if they don't... the silly, silly banks have left themselves open for an attack from a new wave of claims "solicitors" as opposed to claims companies!

now they will be paying back legal costs on top of rebates... lol, he who laughs last... etc!

watch and wait for the very swift backtracking on "holds"

So sorry to hear of all your issues here, it must have been very frustrating for you with other things going on as well, waiting for this and that and not knowing what is what.

The latest update is -

No cheque in the post today, so called Norton and was told by the lady dealing with my complaint that it had been sent on Friday as previously promised in their last letter.

She said the accounts manager would call later (he was in a meeting) to confirm this.

When he called the accounts manager said it hadn't actually been posted on Friday, but would be sent out today via first class mail.

I also spoke to the FOS who are preparing info regarding the enforcement process to send to me.

Even if your cheque arrives, get that info on enforcement off the FOS as it might be useful in future.
