Re: Marks & Spencer PPI Help needed

I am currently having the same problems with M&S. Have you made any progress or do you have any further advice on how to proceed?

    Thank you

Re: Marks & Spencer PPI Help needed

Since my last post I have resubmitted my claim to FOS & they wrote to Allianz who took over from Cornhill to start the complaints process again.

I have now received a refund of £1630 which represents the payments I have made over the last 11 years plus 8% simple interest, I am now awaiting a decision from Allianz as to whether they will pay me compound interest, if they refuse then it's back to FOS. :beagle:

wel done - do you know why the FOS agreed to help when they refused before? It is just that it might help others with loans etc regulated by the FLA?

I have seen comments that the FOS should help out but it does seem to vary from case to case.

I read on another site that FOS were taking on older claims that they had previously rejected & sent mine in, they have got a new team looking for ways for customers to reclaim when the seller was unregulated, ie go for the insurer or underwriter.

This is absolutely correct. For pre FOS regulated claims they do try and target the Insurer instead which would have been a member of the GISC which later got absorbed into the jurisdiction of the FOS.

Unfortunately though, it would seem to depend on the FOS staff member that you get. A lesser experienced staff member will find it easier to say NO compared to his /her more experienced colleague that will take your case on. (a by product that you get from a over stretched organisation I suppose)

Im interested however in your furthe claim for CI. How did you do this after already getting SI of 8%. ?
