First, you need a copy of the agreement & letter of authority you signed so ask them for a copy ( assuming you didn't keep a copy yourself ) however it is likely the fees were on there and as they obtained a refund for you from barclays you will have to pay them the 39% plus VAT ( £1757.80 ? ).

      http://professionalreclaimservices.c...ms-conditions/
      b. If we are successful in obtaining Compensation then You owe us 39% of the Compensation plus VAT. This means, for example: if we succeed in obtaining Compensation of £1,000, the Fee would be £390.00 plus VAT = £468.00. You would receive £532.00. If we succeed in obtaining Compensation of £15,000, the Fee would be £5850 plus VAT = £7020. You would receive £7980. If Compensation of £1,000 is received but £500 is used by the Company to reduce Your outstanding balance the Fee would be £390 plus VAT, therefore You would receive £32 (£500 less our Fee including VAT of £468). VAT is charged at the prevailing statutory rate. Should the VAT rate change this will result in a possible increase or decrease in the Fee. The claims process can take years because of the volume of complaints. We have to charge VAT.

      c. Fees plus VAT become due and payable at the point that either we or You are informed that Compensation is payable by the Company or when an offer of Compensation is made by a Company to You, whichever is the earlier. If the Company offers or pays Compensation to You directly, You agree to notify us immediately (and within 7 days at the latest) and to provide the details we need to calculate the Fee plus VAT. For the avoidance of doubt, should You reject a reasonable offer of Compensation, the Fee plus VAT remains due and payable on the sum offered.
We split the fees with our introducers on a 50:50 basis.
Were you called direct by Pacific/Professional Reclaim or an introducer ?

i was called by professional reclaim services . cold called . and then signed the letters of authority and sent them back .
So ask them for a signed copy before i pay?
should i be paying the fee to a company not the same as the named company ?
Does it matter they blagged me over the fees ? - saying they were less on the phone
I should have checked first but i have a feeling i didnt see them on the paper work . surely if i was not directed to there site the t and c should be on the paperwork .
The long and short of it is if they were and i signed it they will probably take me to court for the fees .
im guessing most of these companies will be folded later this year after the ppi stuff ends

Yes before you pay ask them for a copy of the agreement and letter of authority.
The company is Pacific t/as Professional Reclaim Services ( so it is the same company) They are fully authorised by the MOJ.
Did they tell you a % on the phone or just say they were 'low' ? And tbh evidencing that would be bloody difficult.

Update so They have now sent me a letter demanding that i pay their invoice for their services . they gave me 14 days to pay the invoice now that has passed . They have just sent me a letter saying that i have 5 days grace to pay it before they send it on to debt collection .

I emailed them about a weeks ago requesting the signed letter of authority and the information pointing me to their terms and conditions . They have not replied .
I called them and said ive called to make payment once you have sent me a signed copy of the paperwork . I aid email it to me now and il ring straight back and pay . The lad said his manager would send it straight back .
I still have not received anything from them again .
So i have emailed them again requesting the information .
What would you recommend me to do ? / What is likely to happen .
