To make a complaint to the ICO regarding PPI Redress Ltd not being on the registrer you have to email the ICO at:- notification@ico.gsi.gov.uk which I am just about to do.

The fact is they had my name so therefore they are holding information about people without holding a the appropiate licence.

And guess what guys - PPI Redress limited do not appear to have a data controller.

I searched the register on the ICO website for their company name, company number and zero results. I searched their postcode and got this one result only:



The above address is an exact match to PPI redress Limited address, though they are two seperate legal entities and therefore would both require a registered data controller.

Feel free to report PPI Redress Limited to the ICO guys, i bet they will find a huge fine landing on their doorstep when you do!

Thanks Teaboy, I guess that no Data controller and no MOJ authorisation they are not doing at all well are they.

Well the MOJ have been informed so now I it is time for the ICO to get involved, so will deal with that tomorrow.

Ok, i got a call from a company called Infinity Finance (not related to PPI Redress Ltd) regarding PPI... so lil innocent me, you know what im like..

I said Oh, I got called by 2 companies, PPI Redress Claims and Spectrum Financial..
He shouted about and asked if any of his mates had heard of them, and they said no, but he confirmed for me TLC is The Loan Company!

Needless to say I didnt take him up on his offer!

Lol - I thought CC's comment "using OPM?" was an allegation of the misuse of dried poppy latex.

this is copied from companies house web search page, no other company name in last 20 years. As far as I can see it was a newly formed company last August. I am actually trying to find the trading name.

Had a look at 'who calls me' again today, another poster who received a call from this number confirms that they told her they were from TIC and was exactly the same type of phone call that I had.

'Had a phone call from this no today on MY mobile asked to speak to a male which was husbands name The woman said the the company was TIC & that it was about a refund he was du- told her get lost & to get the names right of who she wanted to talk to & i hung up !!!'

If you check on Companies House website of any previous names used by PPI Redress Ltd, it throws up PPI (RESEARCH) LIMITED. Not sure if that helps in anyway though.
